A little cool, but otherwise a fantastic day for a hike. I passed a park ranger who told me that if, at the top, I could see the Pacific on the western horizon (if conditions permitted), then 180 degrees away I would be able to see Arizona. Sure enough, I got to the top and I could clearly see Catalina Island. So behind me on the horizon would be Arizona. I was high enough, and conditions were clear enough, that I could see across the width of the state!
