We made it to the top in about 1.5hrs, we were huffing and puffing but we did it! There’s a pretty substantial elevation gain in a short amount of time, but if you’re well-seasoned at hiking and are in good shape, it shouldn’t be too bad. Not for me though, I’m out of shape that I wanted to curse around so badly but I was too tired to speak.
The trail is beautiful and well maintained. The 2nd half of the trail are quite rocky so next time I think it would greatly help if I wore those knee compression sleeves.
It became hot very quickly and at first I was so unhappy with how heavy my hydro pack was, but became thankful that I had so much water to last me throughout the hike.
The view was phenomenal! Definitely worth all of the leg cramp and swollen feet.
P.S. climbing down is much easier but some areas are treacherous because of the steepness. Your toes will jam up against your shoes if they’re not properly sized and it is almost a guarantee that you’ll trip, slip, and/or stub your toe on the rocks.
enjoy!
