An absolutely perfect day in every way! We started at 6 am with headlamps. From Teardrop Lake, which is beautiful and would have been worth stopping here as a destination, the rest of the ascent was mostly completely covered with snow, but it’s possible the snow made the steep, slippery sections “easier?!” The weather was perfect, beautiful blue bird skies: we could see all the way to Mt. Rainier from the Summit. We couldn’t find the geological market, presumably covered in snow?!?! The wind shelters were awesome and very helpful! Reaching that Summit was a dream come true and a moment I will never forget!
