I woke up early because I knew I had a long drive to get to the trailhead. Luckily, I was able to start by 5:45. I’m glad that I did because I’m sure cool temperatures made my hike enjoyable. The bugs didn’t bother me because I had long sleeves and pants on and I kept going, but I’m sure if a person had exposed skin and was sitting it would be annoying.
This was my first time and I was amazed at the various terrain that I passed through on my way to the summit! It was stunning and there was plenty of water available.
I will definitely be going back and trying a different route!
