We got started at 5:30 AM the sun was out shortly after. The weather was great, very warm but definitely bearable. The trail itself was very easy to follow, there was only two junctions that I recall and the signs posted were helpful in determining the direction (so long as you looked it up ahead of time). There were plenty of beautiful places to take a break. However, most of the trail is relatively thin (single person track). I recorded our journey on AllTrails and roundtrip ended up being 16.4 miles. There were a few mosquitos at the base of the mountain but didn't notice much after about 3 miles in. Also, the views are spectacular! Loved it. Now this is my longest hike ever in mileage and hours. So insane!
