My legs are feeling it now, but it was a pretty smooth hike, having summited Mount Elden, yesterday. While some of the uphill segments were very long, it’s a very non-technical trail, and it’s mostly free of rocks or roots.
I think the summit views (from the fire tower helicopter pad?) were the best views of all. I’m sure Humphreys Peak would’ve been the winner, but we were stuck in the clouds on that one, and visibility is was very limited.
Couldn’t have asked for better weather for this final climb of the AZ Summer Six Pack!
