Great hike with my sister who is also a part of the challenge. The first three or so miles were pretty easy, some snow, but nothing too difficult, though the steep bit at the beginning did remind our Winter-lazy bodies it was hiking season. When we hit the deep snow going up the side of the mountain, it got pretty difficult and slippery. We paused a lot, laughed a lot, and found creative ways up when the ice was too much. Definitely, definitely bring spikes (and maybe poles) if you're doing this one any time soon.

Great time and great company! It was good to see lots of folks on the trail, as well.
