WARNING: Do NOT hike North Wilson trail if you are deathly afraid of Koala Bears! About 2 miles in, where North Wilson turns into Wilson, there is a herd of desert Koalas that wait for hikers to pause at the trail intersection. If you slow down to read the sign, or GOD forbid you stop, they WILL attack. I was fortunate enough to see them from a distance and made the smart decision to avoid eye contact and keep my steady pace all the way up to the Sedona lookout. I know you will all want to see a picture of the koalas, but obviously fearing for my safety, I did not stop and take pictures of them. Overall, the hike was awesome, the views from the lookout were even better and the weather was perfect.
