I did it! I left the most difficult hike for last and hiked this one with my younger one. We camped in Lincoln after hiking on Mt. Chocorua. Got there little after 9am but the parking was full so we were redirected to the overflow parking about 2 miles away. Started at around 10:20am and finished slightly under 7 hours. We were super tired, especially after hiking on the rugged Mt. Chocorua the day before. It was constant up from the get go but the first mile was really cool with overflowing creeks and waterfalls. The trail doesn’t give any break and the steep uphill goes on until the top of Haystack. Was mistaken that the next top was close and mildly uphill, but the true beast was hidden from the view of Mt. Lincoln. It took more than 4 hours to get to Mt. Lafayette. How rewarding it was with great views of Canon Mountain and Eco Lake. It was a Saturday and the trail was very crowded, some with dogs. The Greenleaf hut was very well positioned and I was able to relieve myself there and get some drinking water. At the end of the trail, we dived into the creek and cool our feet down (was freezing actually). I am so happy that I have finished this challenge on a great note!
