The hike was difficult but beautiful. Jackass trail was confusing at times, where the clear trail diverged from the All trails map. The Narrows section was mostly dried out and the trail irregular and hard to follow – I ended up rock hopping along the creek bed for a mile instead.

Based on other trail reviews, I decided to go clockwise which is reverse direction from the All trails map. I'm glad I did, because mile 5 was a brutal climb that would've been so much worse downhill
