We got to the Red Box parking lot by 7 am. The parking lot was not crowded, which was good because it normally fills up fast. Note that you need an Adventure Pass to park here. The clouds kept us cool until we reached the top. There is overgrown yucca on the trail so you need to be careful where you step and climb. We brought strawberry treats for everyone to share at the peak, which were delicious. We took pictures, but the peak sign is now gone, which I think is sad that people feel the need to take the signs. It was warm by the time we got back and the bugs started to come out, but we had a great Leap Day on Strawberry Peak!
