This was a very interesting hike. We really enjoyed all the wildflowers and checking out the lava flow. You can really tell how this used to be active volcanic areas! The path is easy to walk on since it is a gravel forest road which makes looking around and taking on the scenery a little easier. It is still a challenge though and sometimes the old cinder can get thick making the hike just a little more challenging! It will get your heart pumping for sure. Also it is mostly exposed so on a warm summer day it can get hot!
