Weather was great today, warm but not insanely hot.

Trail was easy going the entire way up. No snow or ice as it was about three-four weeks back on 1st attempt. It’s a little tough to figure out the right direction to go, without service. Take a photo of the map/s before you start. Mileage on AllTrails is a little misleading too. Yes it’s a very short hike if your able to start from the Motherload Mine TH, starting from Independent Trail Head is roughly. Once we actually got the Summit we had it figured out, didn’t feel like a knuckle head because we were asked directions by at least three groups. We started at Independent TH, detoured over to the Mine Site which was pretty cool to check out. There is a trail that takes you down to it.

a good Hike, mostly easy. Kids 6, 11 & 15 did it with me today!
