I wish i didn't let the weather get to me but it did a bit.  It was rainy and windy which then made it colder than the temp really was.  I was prepared with a good rain shell and warm clothes, but forgot gloves and they were essential as I personally needed poles for this hike.  It's no joke!  Tons of switchbacks straight up and then back down from where you came!  I am quite proud of this one mainly because of that day's conditions, but despite that, the trail is is great condition and very easy to follow.  Note that you must approach the trailhead at Vincent Gap from Wrightwood as HWY 2 is closed coming from the other direction.
