Parking is limited so go early or in the late afternoon. I got luck and found a spot but I also arrived at the heat of the day.
Lots of people moving at their own pace so your never really alone, but it also gives you short term goals to push yourself!
The trail is wide enough for a truck to drive on it and then some. It’s very rocky and steep in some areas so make sure you have comfortable shoes on. Also depending on the trail head you start at there isn’t much shade so be prepared to be exposed to the sun. As you climb it’s easy to get focused on the floor well you climb and there are lots of really nice vistas so remember to stop and take a look as you climb. You will also see a ???? here and there and some cool birds with interesting songs to sing.
The peak is usually crowded and windy so remember to take a light jacket if you run cold. Well worth the effort to get to the summit if you don’t mind the crowd and you plan to beat the heat.
