First things first: this was my first time actually hiking over snow! Trail was not visible under several feet of snow! Despite nearly constantly looking at our GPS, we were frequently completely off trail. Luckily there was no environmental damage, since we were just traversing snow fields. We should have used snow shoes, the snow was quite soft and we sunk quite a bit. I'll chalk that up to inexperience. Luckily the weather was fantastic, sunny and not too cold. This 4 mile hike took us 6 hours (bahahahahah).
