My legs were still burning from sprinting down Mt Si at warp speed just a couple days earlier, but I was already getting the ich to hike again. Mailbox was calling.
It was getting late in the day, so I knew I needed to get up and down the mountain as fast as possible or I'd be running in the dark, so I went with the old route. I started at 5pm, and was back down to the car by 8:30. I would have loved to run down faster but it was getting dark and hard to see, and the old route is pretty steep and muddy, slipping and falling can be a real problem.
Wish the view was better, it was just foggy day… So far I've never actually seen the view of mailbox; I keep picking crappy weather days to go up it… Maybe next time I'll get a clear day :-
