Parking: just one or two spots left in the upper lot at 7:30am. Several folks heading up the old trail, but I was using the new trail both out and back.
Trail: the trail is in great condition. Bit pebbly for the first mile or two, then soft needles most of the rest of the way until the rocky base of the summit, where the snow fields started. I was glad for microspikes on the way down, but there were many hikers faring just fine without them both up and down.
Weather: it was an absolutely dry and clear blue day, bookended by days of rain. The view was a gorgeous reward for the work.
Note: on the way down, encountered a two-person search and rescue team heading uphill on bikes (I took a pic of their tracks). I hope everyone is ok. I'm grateful to our emergency teams helping to keep us safe.
