This hike was steep! We chose this peak because it was the shortest. Driving to all the peaks the morning of, I thought it would be nice to end on a shorter hike. It ended up being shorter, but it was a steep uphill climb! The view at the top was very rewarding though. I could really feel the altitude on this hike even more than Jacinto. Some people were clearly just there for the workout. I felt silly and over prepared in my larger backpack. I would rather be over prepared than under prepared. We got a later start to the hike starting at 8:30 AM and could already start to feel the heat. As we climbed there was more of a much welcome cooler breeze. The summit had beautiful surrounding views! We flew back down the mountain. It took us 2 1/2 hours to go up and 1 1/2 to get down. We sat at the top for about 30 minutes before we decided to head back down. This was a fun hike and a great leg workout!
