There was drizzle and light rain throughout the first two hours of the hike. This was my first time hiking this trail and the incline was a hit tough. Due to the rain, the trail was muddy but the air was cool and crisp. I felt great but out of breath at some points. My hiking group and I made it all the way to the Orchard Camp and decided to continue up to Mt. Wilson for about another mile before turning back and coming down. Along the way, I saw so many beautiful flowers such as the monkey flower (orange) and yucca (tall beige). So many other flowers had already bloomed. Overall, this is a very popular trail as I saw so many trail runners coming down the path. The path was not a lonely one. I would like to summit to the top as I was so close today. Will definitely return to do so! So excited that I’m on this beautiful hiking and healing journey.
