Trail was surprisingly busy for as hot as it was. We started around 9:45 AM. Trail is in good condition. This is a strenuous hike because of the steepness of the trail. You feel it going up and coming down. Was glad I had my hiking poles to take some of the stress from my hips, quads and calves.

This hike has wonderful views all throughout due to essentially no trees or anything else blocking line of sight. Nice breeze at the summit. Keep in mind you will be in full sun the entire hike.

We had to park on the street because lot was full. Noticed several cars with parking tickets who were parked in red zones and other clearly marked no parking areas. Not sure if these folks thought they’d be exempt from tickets on a Sunday.
