My friend and I embarked on our first peak on February 13th. It was a tale of two hikes. The first leg of the hike leading up to the peak was rainy, muddy, foggy and very slippery. Thankfully we never fell. Once we reached the very windy peak, we had very limited visibility due to the fog. Sadly, no views from the peak. As we embarked on the remainder of the loop, the rain stopped and the sun began to peek through the clouds. It was still slippery, but we were finally able to enjoy some views and the cows that we came across. Everyone we met along the way were very friendly. All in all, it was a wonderful way to kick off the challenge. We look forward to hiking it again!
