13 ish mile hike on mostly good (but steep and exposed) trails from Ed Levin park: Tularcitos – Monument Peak Trail – Mission Peak to Monument Peak Trail and return. We accidentally went down part of Horse Heaven trail (it drops to the right after you pass the no mountain bikes sign near Mission Peak) – which is in poor condition now (muddy, slick, stupid steep, and eventually ends by the Fremont trailhead). Wildflowers: Mostly CA poppies now. They're just starting their bloom so more to come I think.

On a Saturday, the peak was as crowded as you'd expect – over 30 people hanging out at the summit and a good 10 on line for selfies at the marker. We found the Ed Levin parking lots were full on our return in early afternoon, so arrive as early as you can if hiking on the weekend. FYI SCC parks will start charging parking fees again in April.
