The whole family took the excursion down to San Jose (3.5 Hour Drive) friday night and stayed in a nearby hotel. We started the hike as early as traffic would allow and the parking lot was full at 8:30 am (well we got the last spot). The hike was fun and a nice gradual climb. Lots of people but mostly spread out. Have to watch the mountain bikers though as they were going way too fast and nearly crashed into us. Besides that it was a great time. Breeze picked up when we summited and the temperature dropped so we departed the summit fairly quickly. Light rain for about 30 min.
