I am so UNBELIEVABLY PROUD of my mother. At 73 years old, not having hiked a serious mountain in a decade, she joined me on my first ascent up Mount Washington and conquered Tuckerman’s Ravine!
She battled wind, rain, heat, seriously slippery rocks and two major shoe malfunctions to conquer the tallest mountain on the East Coast. She even BROUGHT A BOTTLE OF WINE to celebrate at the summit!
I am beyond proud to call her my mom everyday, but especially today. Everyone should have the same adventurous spirit as her. Easy to see where I get my love of hiking from…I got it from my momma.
