I finally got around to doing my first hike, a lot later than I had hoped with all the uncertainties surrounding everything these days.  Because of the limited parking, I was afraid that the overflow would fill whatever spots were available at the Pumpelly trailhead.  So I bought a parking space ahead of time and hoped for the best, and my gamble paid off with a beautiful day.  I did, however, want to see some of the views along the Pumpelly trail, so I diverted up Cascade yp Pumpelly.  I'm glad I did, but my feet, maybe not so much,  For an unknown reason, I decided to return via the Red Dot Trail, which was a pretty steep descent.  Sadly, my phone (and backup navigator) overheated, so I didn't get either a pic at the summit or any of the fantastic views along the way – I'll have to add my actual camera to the gear list next time!
