I fell in love with Mt Baldy from 2022-2023 winter season and this year I haven't been able to hike the Baldy much. Signed up the South California Six Pack a few days ago and did the Mt Baldy yesterday , the Mother's Day,  with a friend and my sister.  To my surprise,  there weren't that many people there as usual weekends, I guess most of people spent the times with their mothers on this Mother's Day. We went up via the Register Ridge Trail which is my favorite route up to the peak, and came down the Devil's Backbone Trail. The weather condition couldn't be any better than we had yesterday , beautiful blue sky with varied clouds, only a bit of cooling breeze , temperature is in 60F plus, cooler on the peak, but very pleasant. The snow on the trail covers only near the top of Baldy Peak area, we didn't use micro spikes. Love this Spring-Summer shoulder season, snow still covered mountain peaks, the Mt San Gorgonio, Mt San Jacinto, and San Bernardino Peak, are easily identified in the distance.  It seems my hiking plan is layered out right in front of me. There are still lots of snow on top of Baldy to play with, the white clouds and the white snow are beautifully displayed in a wonderful natural landscape. I also love the hiking community, there are many nice people who we could share our passion, experience , tips and laugh together. We had a fun day and the best Mother's Day gift.
