We started with all 4 of my adult children, three teenagers and my daughter's boyfriend (Carl) & one of my daughter-in-laws (Candace.) One of my son's and the three teenagers made it 2/3 up the mountain. That left 7 of us to continue to the peak. On the way down, my eldest son, Joshua heard a rattle snake. In was in the brush right next to the pass and it was upset! It was in an area where the path was pretty narrow. Josh gently used his trekking pole to encourage the snake to go deeper in the brush and down the slight hill.
Some of the trail was a little “sandy” and slippery. A couple of our group slipped and got stuck by some pointy cactus at various points. It all made for a fun and enjoyable hike! We laughed about it at a restaurant afterwards! One down, 5 to go!!!!
