We started with all 4 of my adult children, three teenagers and my daughter's boyfriend (Carl) & one of my daughter-in-laws (Candace.) One of my son's and the three teenagers made it 2/3 up the mountain. Â That left 7 of us to continue to the peak. On the way down, my eldest son, Joshua heard a rattle snake. Â In was in the brush right next to the pass and it was upset! Â It was in an area where the path was pretty narrow. Â Josh gently used his trekking pole to encourage the snake to go deeper in the brush and down the slight hill.
Some of the trail was a little “sandy” and slippery. Â A couple of our group slipped and got stuck by some pointy cactus at various points. Â It all made for a fun and enjoyable hike! Â We laughed about it at a restaurant afterwards! One down, 5 to go!!!!
