Sunset hike with my Six Packs partner Tanya Stephens. I've done Bachelor twice before and now I will only do sunset or sunrise hikes on it after this years summit. We hauled up it to catch the sunset (in less than two hours) and the lowering sun created a mountain shadow I will never forget. It also made the lava field section that usually seems to go on forever if done in the sun way more interesting and beautiful. Winds were blowing 25mph at the summit and I couldn't walk properly for a week after. Never thought I'd hear myself say I love this hike, but after this years summit, I do.
