We started at 8:00 am on a gorgeous, clear day. I love the peacefulnees of the trail, but little by little we started encountering PCT ikers, Boy Scouts troops and people with music on. The trail had patches of sno that were difficult to naviagte and in some instances we lost the trail. Some areas were very slippery due black ice. My group summited by noon, but the first group summitted by 11:00 am. The last trek was almost clear of snow on the trail but very exposed. If you plan to do this trail on a summer day, I would recommend plenty of water and sunscreen, also begin early. This trail made us work hard.
