2nd peak for the current year's challenge. Mt. Baden-Powell. We left Bakersfield at 4am so we could get a space at the Vincent Gap lot. Our reward was a gorgeous sunrise???? We got the last parking place in the perimeter of the parking lot at 6:45am. When we got back to the car at 12:30pm the lot was full and cars lined the 2 Fwy for 100 ft in every direction. Lots of people on the trail but everyone was friendly and courteous. The trail was, of course, is easy to follow and in great condition except for 1 mound of snow and 1 tree. The entire hike took 5hrs 45min because there was a LOT of stopping to move aside for hikers coming from the opposite direction. This is my 2nd time on Mt. Baden-Powell and it won't be my last=}
