This was my first-ever snow hike and certainly wasn't my last. We didn't actually hit any snow until about half way up. At that point we carefully shuffled through a few icy spots, then finally had to break out the microspikes for the rest of the hike to the summit. We didn't encounter anything too treacherous, and the clear skies made for some amazing views on the trail for this day. I'm doing the two alternate peaks for the challenge and all the main peaks, making it an eight-pack this year! Two down, six to go. Up next Cucamonga Peak!
