Perfect way to celebrate the 4th Of July! The first part of the hike is a bit of a scramble. Steep on loose gravel. The rest of the trail is pretty smooth. Very windy in some sections, and I was definitely happy to have a windbreaker. I enjoyed hiking it from Dawson Saddle instead of Vincent Gap. No crowds. Not a ton of switchbacks, and definitely breathtaking. The flag looked beautiful in the wind, and there was a newer plaque at the peak. Rested at the top and watched the hang gliders below.
