The ascent was everything I imagined, challenging, exhausting and fun. The experience reaching the summit was truly rewarding. The descent down ski hut trail on the other hand, put me to the test. My less than perfect knees felt every step down the rocky and gravely decline. I literally took baby steps down the mountain. And as you can imagine, that took awhile. But in the end, I finished the hike and I can be proud of my accomplishment.
