Super beautiful hike, lots of views of golden California hills. This was my first hike using hiking poles and they made a huge difference coming down off Eagle Peak. The weather was honestly pretty hot at 81 degrees and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hike on a day that was any hotter (this was a little borderline honestly). We got a little overheated on the last mile before the peak but there was lots of shade and water up there, so we refreshed and were good to go back down!
