We love the views from the Twin Peaks and Eagle Peak and bit of steep downhill but short which someone might be appreciate having their trekking pole. Once we get to the summit fogs were rolling in so it was a bit of chilly but we didn’t stay too long up there since we need to hike back another 7 miles. We have done the summit hike many years back when we where inexperienced hiker and didn’t know what we were into. Back then few of our friends really had hard time and it was hot day, compare to that it was a perfect day to hike and it feels so much easy this time!
You do get lots of shade since we are starting at the north side of the summit but if you are planning to hike during summer hot then start early. We started a little after 9 am and didn’t bother by heat at all since it was mid Oct.  We saw a tarantula too!
