Woke up this morning and decided it was time to tackle the Mount Baldy area. Left my car at 5:50 AM and left for Register Ridge on the way up to Mount Harwood. 1:46 later I made it to the summit of Harwood, which wasn't terribly exciting except for the stare-down I had with some bighorn sheep. Made my way across the ridge to the summit of Mount San Antonio / “Mt Baldy,” and was on top of the San Gabriel Mountains 28 minutes later. Made a quick descent down the Ski Hut Trail, which was frustrating at points with how many people were headed up. Uphill has right of way, so I would have to pause often, which got old quick. Made it back to my car right at 10, having accomplished two peaks today in good time.
Skipped West Baldy, because I'll end up summiting that when I do the San Antonio Ridge.
