Started at 7:30AM at Manker Flat. Nice and cool in the high 50s and sunny. Went up the Devil’s Backbone. At 9,000 feet encountered a huge rattlesnake on the trail. Diverted off the main trail to pay a visit to Mount Harwood. Reached the summit at 10:45AM, then made my way over to West Baldy for a more secluded break and snack as there were at least a dozen people on the summit. Doubled back to Baldy, then made my way down the sky hut trail and back at Manker Flat 1:15PM. No snow on the trail but patches near the summit.
