Ok, so this is a hard hike and I made it harder by carrying a 20# plate in my ruck giving me a total of around 30# on my back. I'm very glad I brought 100 oz of water because I went through the whole thing and that is very rare for me.

The hike is very rocky and the climb starts almost immediately. It is mostly pretty well “marked” but I found that I had to use AllTrails a couple of times when there were more than 1 trail worn into the area. There are also a few areas where the catclaws and cactus are very close and will grab at you as you pass.

The hike is worth it as you do get an awesome view of the Pusch Wilderness and the view of Tucson is pretty distant. We hiked on a weekday so there were not many people on the trail and only 1 person at the peak while we were up there.

This is definitely a peak that wouldn't have been on my radar if it weren't for this Challenge. Thank you Jeff and whoever suggested it!
