Due to weather and travel distance some members of our group had to do 3 trails back to back to back to complete this challenge, tough given that weather conditions were extreme and we were tackling at least 2 of the 3 most challenging trails…
Lassen was cold and windy encountering wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour. The summit was through snow, passable but you had to watch your footing, while climbing the volcanic rock to the summit was facing winds of 40 miles an hour.
We had fog, winds and hail much of our hike with strong winds the last +/- 1200 feet.
