We started the hike near the parking lot by Lake County Hwy, following the Alltrails route. The app marked it as hard, estimating to take 9.3 miles, but we ended up doing 11.3 miles and it didn't seem that difficult due to the moderate temperatures. It wasn't terribly sunny, which made for a comfortable, relatively cool hike considering it's mostly unshaded. It was scenic and relatively quiet with very few hikers on the trail. There were a lot of fire remnants like burnt pine cones and tree branches. Overall, it was an enjoyable hike.
