I've been to Mount San Gorgonio on numerous occasions including previously in the snow. Today the snow level although about 2 to 3 feet in the higher elevations, it was soft and my feet just sunk in and made it very difficult to climb. It took our team about 13 hours when normally we can knock this one out in about 8 to 9 hours. The snow is beautiful but also makes it difficult and more dangerous. Please make sure to take at minimum microspikes, if not crampons to ensure good footing mostly on the way down. Hope to see more SoCal Hikers out on the trails… Enjoy!

No love for the old sign? Nobody wants to hold it anymore. Out with the old, in with the new. *sigh*
Denis, I actually like the Old Sign Better but it must have been buried under the snow somewhere and we had to dig this one out as it was the only one we could find with the little time we had. Next time I will take a shovel to dig all the snow at the summit and find me the other sign!
