Hike Log

Mount San Jacinto – Falling ice

Trailhead:

Marion Mountain Trailhead

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Started at 6:50. A bit later than usual but then again it was the day before daylight saving so not too bad. The hike was as beautiful as last year perhaps even a bit nicer due to the colder weather. Near the top, the buildup of ice on the tree tops was melting off creating a risk of a head injury. We even came across a hiker that did not summit because he was hit on the head.
