This is trail kicked my butt specially between at 5-7miles. I know it was noted the section is the one of the steepest incline in the bay area, no kidding. I hiked without trekking poles and it would have helped so I suggest to bring them if you have them. I needed two days to recover. I did Double Dipsea trail run and it wasn’t hard as this and just run the Chicago Marathon and didn’t need more than half day to recover. Anyway, I still liked it even so it was challenging. I suggest start early and take it nice and easy. The view is wonderful.
