We started at 8:30am and there was only one empty parking position for day hikers. There was a snow in the mountain last night, and the meadows near the visitor center and the blue ridge were covered by snow in the morning. All snows were melted in the afternoon. The trail is well maintained and the creek crossing is not difficult.
