A challenging trail with a mix of rocky trails and narrow and wide dirt trails. The weather was overcast and mild with a light jacket needed in the morning and a sunhat in the afternoon.
The scenery changes as you make your way to the summit. Thickly wooded forests give way to beautiful streams and waterfalls with a few wooden bridges to cross. Moss-covered branches create a natural archway along the trails reminiscent of an Elvin forest. Then the forest opens up to an unexpected amphitheater whose seating is made of large natural stone.
As you make your ascent to the summit you see amazing views of the bay, Sausalito, Tiburon, and San Francisco.
