Mount Tam was a tough hike, but it has 360
panoramic views of the Bay Area once you
reach the top! Bring plenty of water and
snacks; be mindful of the time since you don't want to hike back in the dark. Beautiful forests with waterfalls and flowing water, rolling green hills, and beautiful views of Marin County. This hike has various trails with a variety of terrain
and vistas. Bathroom stops & water refill
stations help break up the long hike. First
couple of miles ascend in elevation; the last
couple of miles are tough as they are uphill and you climb on a fire road. Worth it, but may require training & planning!
