This hike had it all, awesome views of the Pacific, majestic Redwoods, Sunny, Foggy, and a lot of stairs, but by far the most beautiful hike so far.
I started my solo hike at the Dipsea Trail at 7:50 am. I enjoyed the hike up to Pantoll campground where the trail got busy with other hikers and bikers. I did not mind the company but I had to pay extra attention to bikers going downhill. I got to the West Point Inn at around 10 am. I headed up to the fire lookout tower where I had lunch sitting on a rock with a great view. Unfortunately, there was still a bit of a fog, and could only see the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge.
After lunch, I started heading back. I took the Matt Davis Trail down to the Stinson Beach fire station and back to my car. I ended the hike at about 2:35.
This was my first time hiking Mount Tamalpais and will definitely be back!
