We started at Stinson beach at about 8:30 am. The cars were pouring into the lot after us so we arrived just in time. It was a warm day unlike how the SF area usually is. So skies were pretty clear. We took dipsea to steep ravine to the fire road and returned via Fern Creek and Matt Davis to avoid all the steep steps down Dipsea. Our stats were 17 miles, 3200 climb, 7+hours moving time. We ran out of water on the way down. There’s a faucet with cold water just beyond the camp ground which tasted like the best champagne ever by the time we reached it to refill. This would be a great place to top off your water on the way up to the summit.
