Peak #11 of 12! We’re “On the Road Again” hiking Mount Wil(lie Nel)son. Beautiful weather, kind of buggy, bad blisters! The hole is broken up into sections which helps to mentally tackle this long hike. I love this peak the most when the Cosmic Cafe is open. Grabbed a snack and then checked out the merch. I learned from the volunteer that purchases at their merch store help keep the services at the peak open and available for all to enjoy. So snag a pin or jacket while you’re there! On the way down my blisters were so bad I had to finish the last 3 miles in my socks.  The pain definitely slowed me down and we ended up finishing the hike in the dark. We were prepared with head lamps and made it out of the gate before it was locked, thankfully. Only one more hike to go on the list of 12 SoCal Peaks!!!!
